![]() Communications Post - All of your hotels will arrange stamping and posting for you Telephones - All of the hotel rooms, at each stage of the tour, have international-access telephones Mobile phones - The two main cellular networks in Brazil are GSM and CDMA. If you intend to use your mobile phone on the tour, you will need to ensure that your network provider has an arrangement with providers in Brazil, and that your phone is thus enabled. Your tour coordinator carries a mobile phone which can be reached from overseas, and your travel agent will give you her number in preparation. Please bear in mind, however, that network coverage in the areas covered by the tour may be scant to non-existent Email - With the exception of the remote Pantanal; most hotels have (or are acquiring) internet facilities, most towns have an internet cafe, and your tour coordinator carries a notebook computer with wireless and LAN access. You'll need to check, in advance, that you can access your messages via webmail, and that you know your user name and password. However, since PC's in Brazil are as prone to failure as every other computer in the world (if not more so, due to their environment), please do not rely too heavily upon them |
