Stage 3

Stage 3 - The Pantanal

By the seventh day, you will be on the third stage of the tour, in the Pantanal itself

You'll take a chalana (small ferry) along a river; experience animals in their natural habitat, on trails by vehicle, and on foot in the Pantanal forest; ride on horseback through the wetlands; and canoe across a lake, to a river crossing frequented by alligators (caimans)

In the evenings, you can choose to observe animals by night; attend an open-air presentation on the Pantanal, under the stars; swim; or just appreciate the totally natural environment

In the unlikely event of an accident, there is a full-time nurse, emergency four-wheel drive vehicles, and private cellular telephone antennae. The guides carry two-way radios at all times, to ensure that visitors' experiences are as safe as possible
